The team for the Zimbabwe tour has been announced but World Cup Player of the Tournament Sanju Samson has not got a place in this team. S Sreesanth, former fast bowler of Team India and famous as Kerala Express, believes that after the arrival of Suryavanshi, Sanju will have to be more consistent. Sreesanth had a special conversation with Ravish Bisht.
Question– Sanju has been ousted and now it seems that Suryavanshi has taken his place. How do you see this change?
answer– Look, I think Sanju will have to play better. When you don’t perform consistently even against Ireland, there is no dearth of talent in Indian cricket. We all know what performance Suryavanshi gave in this IPL. Had to give him a chance. Better late than never. The way he faced Archer was amazing batting. Sanju has also done a lot. Did well in the World Cup, but it’s been a long time since I performed, so like I said about Surya Kumar Yadav, similarly when Sanju gets a chance, he will also do well. He has also come to know that if he does not perform on one or two occasions in Indian cricket, there is a lot of competition, so it is good for Sanju also because he has also come to know that he will have to remain consistent.
Question– How do you see the debut of Suryavanshi?
answer– Vaibhav Suryavanshi is the future. I want them to be given more chances. He is very wonderful. His mind set is also tremendous.
I am sure that when India participates in the Olympics, the gold medal will be around Suryavanshi’s neck. Suryavanshi and such boys should be given more chances
Question– Why is India losing in UK?
answer – Why are we losing? I will only pray that India wins. I would tell the players not to stop the believe system. Cricket is changing a lot. Flat wicket is a different thing, in England the ball rotates. Therefore preparation is very important. When you come to bat, it does not mean that you have to hit every ball. In 120 balls, you will have to see which bowler is bowling well. Flat tracks are available in IPL. The ball comes on the bat but when you go outside India, you have to pay a little attention and give some respect to the bowler also. We have many players who can win matches comfortably.

Question– What advice would you like to give to the fast bowlers in England?
answer– Regarding fast bowling, I would say that mind set is more important than preparation. Taking wickets is very important. If you are not able to take wickets on the new ball then something is going wrong. There should be a proper plan, if three overs do not go well then proper homework on bowling yorkers in the fourth over and where the field placement should be, which batsman should bowl the ball should be done and come to the ground. You are playing for the country, your homework should be very good.
