Nepal Airlines is embroiled in controversy for showing wrong map of India. The reason for this is a social media post of the airline, in which while showing the ‘network map’, the entire Jammu and Kashmir was shown as a part of Pakistan. After criticism, the airline apologized for the wrong map of India within 24 hours. He has called it a map mistake or a technical mistake.
How did the controversy start?
The controversy started on Wednesday when a route map was shared by the airline. In this, the Union Territory ‘Jammu-Kashmir and Ladakh’ was shown in the territory of Pakistan. This photo immediately started going viral on social media platforms, after which Indian users slammed the airline. Soon, #BoycottNepalAirlines started trending on social media. Along with this, users demanded the Indian Ministry of External Affairs and Civil Aviation Ministry to lodge a diplomatic protest with the Nepal government regarding this.
Khesari also raised questions
Bhojpuri superstar Khesari Lal Yadav also raised questions on this big mistake of the airline. He posted on the social media platform This is not a small thing, it seems to be a deliberate act. Such things are called provocation.

The airline deleted the post
As the protests intensified, Nepal Airlines removed the controversial post and apologized, saying it would rectify it and not make such a mistake again in future. The airline said in its statement, “We sincerely apologize for the mistake in the network map.” There were major cartographic errors regarding international boundaries in this map. The airline said that an internal investigation into the matter has been ordered.
