US President Donald Trump, while announcing the end of the ceasefire with Iran, called Tehran a cancer. Now Iran replied to the US President that Iran is not afraid of Trump’s threats. Ebrahim Rezaei, spokesman for the National Security and Foreign Policy Committee of the Iranian Parliament, said on Wednesday (8 July 2026) that we are ready to fight any evil.

Trump’s threat to Iran

President Trump, who had a relatively soft stance towards Iran’s leadership till a few weeks ago, used strong words against Tehran this time. Trump said that after new attacks on Iran the ceasefire has ended but talks can continue. Trump said, ‘There is something wrong with him. They are sick and play dirty games. However, Trump also said that he could allow his negotiators to continue talks, but he feels that they (Iran) are just wasting time.

US attacked Iran

After the US Central Command claimed to target 80 military bases of Iran on July 8, the IRGC also talked about retaliating against 85 US bases. The Iranian military claimed that it carried out a drone attack targeting US forces stationed at Sheikh Isa Air Base in Bahrain in response to US attacks on southern Iran.

The era of threats is now over: Iran

Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf has condemned America for breaking the 14-point agreement. He said that the US has attacked Iran despite the deal, which shows its policy of pressure against Tehran.

Mohammad Bager Ghalibaf posted on X and wrote, ‘The era of threats and extortion is now over. There is no benefit from this. We are not going to bow down. He released a list of agreements violated by the US, which included ignoring rules in the Strait of Hormuz, threats of attack, reimposition of oil sanctions, attacks on southern Iran and continued Israeli attacks on Lebanon.
