Share Market: Today, on April 16, the Indian stock market is witnessing a bullish trend for the second consecutive day. On one hand, Sensex rose by 0.60 percent by 465.55 points to reach 78,576.79. On the other hand, Nifty rose by 111.75 points to reach 24,343.05 in early trade, registering a gain of 0.46 percent.

Yesterday on Wednesday, tremendous recovery was seen in the market. During this period, Sensex managed to close at 78,111 with a rise of 1,263 points or 1.64 percent and Nifty managed to close at 24,231 with a rise of 389 points or 1.63 percent.

  • Investors are relieved by the news of a possible ceasefire between America and Iran. With this their confidence in the market is coming back.
  • American stock markets closed at record high levels in Wednesday’s session. This had a direct impact on the Indian stock market.
  • Today the prices of Brent crude have fallen to around $94 per barrel. For India, the import of crude oil becoming cheaper is good news for the economy and profits of companies.
  • The fourth quarter results of big companies like Wipro, HDFC AMC, HDFC Life are going to come to the market today. Investors have high expectations from them.

Asian Market

Today, on April 16, a strong rise is being seen in the Asian markets. The biggest increase is being seen in Japan’s Nikkei, which jumped 910 points or 1.57 percent and crossed the level of 59,044. Similarly, Hang Seng is also trading in the range of 25,900-26,150 with a gain of 0.7-0.8 percent. Similarly, Kospi of South Korea also gained 1.03 percent and Kosdaq gained 0.77 percent. Australia’s S&P/ASX 200 went up 0.22 percent.

The US Dollar Index (DXY), which measures the value of the dollar against six foreign currencies, is trading 0.09 percent lower at 98 on Thursday morning. These six currencies include British Pound, Euro, Swedish Krona, Japanese Yen, Swiss Franc. On April 16, the rupee fell 0.01% and closed at 93.38 against the dollar.
