US President Donald Trump wrote in a post shared on the social media platform Truth Social on Saturday (May 23, 2026), ‘The final aspects and issues of the agreement are still under negotiation and will be announced soon.’
According to the report, this agreement creates a framework to end the months-long fighting, lift the US blockade on Iranian ships and reopen the sea route. Apart from this, the issue of Iran’s highly enriched uranium reserves will also be decided through talks in the next 30 to 60 days. On which America has been demanding for a long time that Iran hand over this stockpile to Washington.
Hope for relief from global energy crisis
According to Reuters, US Secretary of State Marco Rubio, who is on a four-day visit to India, said that by Sunday (May 24, 2026), even bigger news can come in this matter. At the same time, a senior Iranian source told Reuters that if Iran’s Supreme National Security Council approves this proposal, it will be sent to Supreme Leader Ayatollah Mujtaba Khamenei for final approval.
However, Iranian news agency Tasnim said that there are still differences of opinion on one or two rules of the proposal. In such a situation, if America continues to create problems, a final agreement will not be reached, but if this agreement is implemented, it may provide relief to the global markets.
