US Secretary of State Marco Rubio, who was on a visit to India, gave such a statement that US President Donald Trump himself got caught in the crossfire. There was such an uproar over the statement on social media that even the US State Department had to face discomfort. The authorities quickly removed the post related to his comment from social media.
Foreign Minister Marco Rubio gave a statement in New Delhi regarding racist remarks against Indians, in which US President Donald Trump himself got trapped. During the press conference, Rubio was asked a question about racist comments against Indians in America. This also included promoting a post by Trump recently calling India a ‘pit of hell’.
He said during the press conference, ‘There are stupid people in every country of the world, who say stupid things.’ A debate broke out on social media over Rubio’s ‘stupid talk’ comment. In fact, the ‘stupid thing’ that was being mentioned (calling India a pit of hell) was promoted by US President Donald Trump himself.

The US State Department posted a video clip of Rubio’s remarks on social media. However, when the department realized that Rubio’s statement was targeting Trump, the officials hurriedly removed it.
On the other hand, regarding relations with India, US Foreign Secretary Marco Rubio said that our relations with any country in the world will not be at the cost of partnership with India. Rubio said, ‘As far as our relations with other countries are concerned, we cooperate with countries around the world at different levels and work in different ways. India also does the same. This is how responsible countries pursue their relations, but I do not see our relations with any country in the world at the expense of our strategic partnership with India, especially for the reasons I have mentioned earlier.
