Voting for Baramati by-election in Maharashtra is going on from the morning of today (April 23). Sunetra Pawar, wife of late veteran leader Ajit Pawar, is contesting on this seat. Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) chief and Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Sunetra Pawar has given a big statement amid voting.

Maharashtra Deputy CM Sunetra Pawar said that the people of Baramati have been with the Pawar family for the last 60 years and have supported us. This election is being held without Ajit Dada, hence the people of Baramati have taken this election in their hands. He wants to cast his vote as a tribute to his grandfather. For this, everyone is coming out from their respective sides in the village also. People from outside villages have also come especially for this election.

Sunetra Pawar further said, “Although the people of Baramati have taken this election in their own hands, but they have also seen that their Ajit grandfather has done a lot for them for so many years. Now is the day to give back to him. That is why they want to cast their precious vote in the name of Ajit Pawar. For this, they have come out of their homes and are standing in queues at the polling stations.”

What did Sunetra Pawar say on Sharad Pawar?

Earlier, Sunetra Pawar informed through her official X account that NCP (SP) President Sharad Pawar will not be able to vote in the by-election. NCP Chief Sunetra Pawar said in a post on X that due to ill health, Pawar Saheb (Sharad Pawar) will not be able to participate in the voting in Baramati Assembly by-election. However, his blessings are invaluable for me and the people of Baramati.

He said that Pawar Saheb’s contribution to the development of Baramati, Maharashtra and the country is inspiring. Under his guidance, Dada has also maintained the rich tradition of development-oriented politics. The people of Baramati will definitely respond enthusiastically to Pawar Saheb’s appeal. The people of Baramati are connected to the ideas of development, and this direction will remain strong in the future also. He said that it is my heartfelt prayer for Pawar Saheb’s speedy recovery.

Sharad Pawar had written a letter to the public

Earlier, Sharad Pawar had written a letter to the people of the area, in which he told that he was about to reach Baramati to vote, but due to poor health he had to be admitted to the hospital. He said that he will soon recover and return to the public again.

Sharad Pawar said in his message that he has been continuously voting in Baramati region since his first election in 1967, but this time he will not be able to vote due to ill health. He told that he wanted to come to Baramati to participate in the by-election and vote, but due to deteriorating health, he had to be admitted to a hospital in Mumbai. Doctors have forbidden him to travel, due to which he could not exercise his right to vote.

He said that this is an extremely sad and painful situation for him, but he hopes that the voters and supporters of Baramati will understand his circumstances.
