Delhi High Court has refused to grant relief on the petition filed demanding reopening of the re-evaluation portal after the CBSE Class 12 results. The court clearly said that if any student has a complaint regarding his result or the evaluation process, then he can personally adopt the appropriate legal procedure. The court believes that reopening of the portal may affect the entire result process and further admission process.

what was the whole matter
This matter was related to the demand to restart the re-evaluation portal of class 12 answer sheets. It was said in the petition that many students have objections regarding the evaluation process and they should get a chance to apply again. Besides, in some cases manual checking and physical verification of answer sheets was also demanded.

What did the High Court say
During the hearing, the court said that the re-evaluation process has already been completed as per the schedule and starting it again will affect the entire system. The court said that this is not just a matter of a few days but it can delay the entire result and further process.

Argument of CBSE and Central Government
The court was told by the officials that a large number of students have already applied for re-evaluation and verification of answer sheets. According to the board, the process of scrutiny of lakhs of answer sheets is already going on and extending the deadline may also affect the college admission process.

Why did the students raise questions?
The petition claimed that after this year’s results, many students and parents raised questions on the digital evaluation system. Some students raised complaints like technical difficulties, scanning issues and difference in marks.

What options do students have now?
At present the High Court has not ordered to reopen the portal. However, the court said that students who have complaints at individual level can use the available legal and administrative options. The next hearing of the case can be held on a future date.

Another issue has come to light regarding the examination process of CBSE. Tanishq, a Class 12 student from Delhi, alleges that first he was issued a marksheet without marks. After this, when he asked for a copy of the answer sheet to re-check his paper, he did not get a copy of one subject. The family says that due to this there is difficulty in completing the re-evaluation process.

When the results came, the marksheet came out blank.

Tanishq has scored 81 percent marks in the CBSE Class 12 board exam this year. But when the result was declared, the marksheet he received did not contain marks for any subject. Seeing this, the student and his family were shocked. According to the family, after the problem came to light, they contacted the school and CBSE officials. Despite searching continuously for several days, he did not get any clear answer. This increased the student’s anxiety further.

Correct mark sheet received after a week

After a lot of efforts, the correct marksheet was provided to the student after about a week. However, by then the family was quite worried. After getting the correct results, Tanishk decided to get his marks re-checked. For this he asked for the scanned answer sheets of all the six subjects, so that re-evaluation could be done if necessary.

Only five answer sheets were found instead of six

The family alleges that copies of six subjects were asked for, but they received answer sheets of only five subjects. Due to not getting the copy of a subject, the student is not able to apply for re-evaluation in that subject. The biggest worry is that the last date of re-evaluation is also near. In such a situation, if the copy is not received in time, the student may lose his chance.

Also read – Big cyber attack on CBSE result portal, more than 38 lakhs were blocked

mental pressure on students
Tanishk’s father says that these continuous problems are affecting the mental condition of the student. He says that the son repeatedly asks why this is happening to him. The family is constantly trying to convince and encourage him, but the worry about the future still remains.

Demand for action from CBSE
The family has appealed to CBSE to take the matter seriously and provide the missing answer sheet as soon as possible. They say that every student has the right to get their marks re-checked and no one should be harmed due to technical or administrative reasons. At present, the family is hopeful that the board will find a solution soon so that the student can complete the re-evaluation process in time.

CBSE Fake Notice: After the release of CBSE 12th board result, a fake notice regarding the scan copy rechecking process is becoming increasingly viral on social media. It has been claimed in the viral notice that the photocopy of answer sheet and re-evaluation process for class 12 students has been cancelled. However, the Central Board of Secondary Education has called this claim completely fake. CBSE has made it clear that the process of scanned copy, verification of marks and re-evaluation will continue as before. The board has appealed to the students and parents not to believe any rumor or viral message and get information only from the official website.

CBSE issued fake news alert

CBSE issued a notification on its official social media handle saying that a fake circular is being made viral, in which it is claimed that the scan copy and rechecking process has been stopped. The board has called it completely wrong and misleading. The Board has said that CBSE is fully committed to maintaining transparency, fairness and accuracy in the evaluation and revaluation process. Every real problem of the students will be examined by subject experts as part of the process.

Scan copy application date also extended

In view of the technical difficulties, the board has also extended the last date of application for scanned copy. Earlier the last date of application was fixed as 22nd May, later it was changed to 23rd May and now students have been given a chance to apply till 24th May 2026. The board says that this decision has been taken after continuous technical problems surfaced on the portal, so that no student is deprived of applying.

Also read-Yogi government’s big plan? Shikshamitras may get a new gift soon

Many technical problems faced on the portal

During the process that started on May 20, many students complained of problems in the portal. Initially the website remained closed for a long time, after which many students had to face problems like payment failure, application not being successful and scanned copy not being downloaded. Students also complained that the fee per copy was erroneously shown at Rs 69,000 on the portal. After continuous complaints, the board instructed the technical team to fix the problems.

How will the revaluation process happen?

Under the new system of CBSE, students will first have to get the scanned copy of their evaluation answer sheet. After this, if the students wish, they can apply for verification or re-evaluation of marks. The board says that the purpose of the process is to give students an opportunity to see their copies in a transparent manner, so that any kind of doubt can be removed.

Class 12 Result Rechecking: After the result 2026 for CBSE 12th students, a big and relief news has come out. Students who are not satisfied with their marks or feel that there is a mistake in their copy can now check their answer sheet. CBSE has started the post-result process, which will give students an opportunity to understand their marks and get corrections if necessary. This process has been started only a few days after the results are declared, so that the problems of the students can be reduced and transparency can be maintained. The board says that the purpose of this entire process is to take right decisions in the interest of the students.

CBSE said that there may be a mistake, but it will be rectified

CBSE Controller of Examination Sanyam Bhardwaj said that the board works with complete honesty and transparency. He said that about 1.25 crore answer sheets are checked, so there could be a possibility of a mistake somewhere. But if any mistake comes to light, it is immediately rectified. CBSE believes that students should be given full opportunity so that they can understand their copy and if there is any wrong marking, it can be corrected. This step has been taken to strengthen the confidence of the students.

Apply like this

Go to the official portal: First of all go to the official website of CBSE cbse.gov.in.
Click on the link “Post Result Services 2026” or “Apply for Photocopy/Verification” in the main announcements section on the homepage.
You can also directly visit the official rechecking portal cbseit.in.

Also read: CBSE’s big decision amid copy check controversy, re-evaluation fee reduced from Rs 700 to Rs 100

The entire process will be done in two phases, know the dates

This time CBSE has divided the entire process into two phases. In the first phase, students can apply for a copy of their checked answer sheets. This window is opening from May 19 and will run till May 22. After this, students will be given a scanned copy of their copy, which they can check carefully. Students can check each of their answers against the marking scheme and if they find any mistake, they can note it.

Marks review and last chance for improvement

In the second phase, students can apply for verification and revaluation of their marks. This window will be open from 26th May to 29th May. During this time, if any student feels that there is a mistake in his copy, he can lodge an objection. CBSE has said that if any mistake is confirmed by the team of experts, it will be corrected immediately. This entire process is to give justice to the students and ensure the right value of their hard work. This will not only provide relief to the students, but will also strengthen their trust in the board.

After the release of CBSE 12th result, the debate regarding on-screen marking i.e. OSM system has intensified on social media. Many students and parents have expressed their displeasure over low marks especially in subjects like Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Mathematics. Students say that despite the exams being good, the marks obtained were less than expected.

Many students claimed on social media that their copies were not checked properly. Some students raised questions about the CBSE evaluation process by comparing their old academic performance with this year’s marks. Within no time this matter became a big topic of discussion on the internet.

What is CBSE’s OSM system?

Giving clarification on this entire matter, CBSE said that OSM i.e. On Screen Marking System is a digital evaluation process. In this, the answer sheets of the students are scanned and checked on the computer screen. According to the board, this system was implemented so that the examination of copies could be done in a more transparent and fair manner.

CBSE says that in this process marking is done step by step. Every answer is checked according to the prescribed marking scheme so that all students get equal marks and the chances of any kind of mistake are reduced.

CBSE said – the evaluation process is completely transparent

The board said in its statement that the OSM system has been implemented keeping in mind the interest of the students. This reduces human error and also reduces the difference in marks given by different examiners.

According to CBSE, with the help of digital system, better monitoring of checking of copies can be done. With this, the answer sheets of all the students are checked according to a fixed standard. The board also said that the evaluation process is completely fair and reliable.

Dissatisfied students will get a chance for rechecking and revaluation

CBSE made it clear that students who are not satisfied with their marks will be given the facility of rechecking and revaluation. Students can first ask for a copy of their checked answer sheet. If they find any mistake then they can apply for correction or revaluation.

The board said that the entire process will be online and transparent so that students do not face any kind of problem. With this, students will be able to get correct information by looking at their copy.

There is still concern among students and parents

However, even after CBSE’s cleanliness, many students and parents do not seem completely satisfied. He says that this time the marks of a large number of students in science subjects have been less than expected. Many students have also demanded from the board to review the evaluation process again.

CBSE 12th Result 2026 has finally been released and the wait of lakhs of students is now over. After the results are announced, there is an atmosphere of happiness at some places and at some places some students seem to be a little worried about their marks. This time CBSE has checked the copies digitally, hence the board says that the result has been made quite transparent and accurate.

If any student feels that his/her marks are less than expected, then there is no need to panic. Because the board has also started post result facility, through which students will be able to apply for re-checking of their marks or other process. This process will start from April 18, 2026 and a separate notice will be issued for this. The same students have been advised to apply within the stipulated time limit, because no request will be accepted after the last date.

When will CBSE 12th Supplementary Exam 2026 be held? Know the full date

According to the information released by CBSE, the class 12th supplementary examination will be held on July 15, 2026. The special thing is that this examination will be conducted in only one day. Also, this opportunity will be very important for those students who are not satisfied with their performance in the main examination or who have got compartment. The board has said that students passing in 2026 will be able to take the exam for improvement in only one subject.

At the same time, students belonging to compartment category in 2026 and 2025 will also be allowed to appear in the examination. Also, this is considered to be the last opportunity for the compartment students of 2025, because a total of three chances are given by CBSE to clear the compartment. In such a situation, this can prove to be a golden opportunity for the students to improve their results.
