On the orders of President Donald Trump, the US Army carried out air strikes on Venezuela. During this, important targets like Fuerte Tiuna Military Base and La Carlota Airport of Venezuela were targeted. America used advanced fighter jets, helicopters and missiles in these attacks. According to news agency Reuters, the US Army attacked many places in northern Venezuela including the Venezuelan capital Caracas.

The US Air Force mainly used the F-35 Lightning II fighter jet. This stealth is a stealthy jet, which can escape from enemy radar. Let us tell you that the 3 main variants of F-35 are F-35A (normal), F-35B (short takeoff/vertical landing) and F-35C (carrier based). These jets were used for precision bombing in attacks, which, due to stealth, escaped Venezuelan air defense.

America used Apache helicopters
America used Boeing AH-64 Apache helicopters for low altitude attacks in Venezuela. These are attack helicopters, which attack ground targets with missiles and guns. These helicopters are considered perfect for close range attacks on military bases and can be used even at night.

Chinook helicopter was also used
Apart from these, Boeing CH-47 Chinook helicopters have also been used by the US Army. Chinooks were seen flying at low altitude in the sky of Caracas. These CH-47 Chinooks had come for troop landing with American Special Forces. They were working together with Apache and other helicopters in the attack.

Which helicopters does India have?
India has purchased Boeing AH-64E Apache attack helicopter, CH-47F Chinook transport helicopter and AGM-114 Hellfire missiles from America. India purchased these weapons from America in 2015-2020, so that China and Pakistan could be fought simultaneously on both fronts. Let us tell you that India has a total of 22 Apache (for Army) and 15 Chinook (for Air Force).

India inducted Apache in 2019. Since 2020, they are deployed at Pathankot and Jorhat bases. In Ladakh, the army patrols the LAC with Apaches against China. In 2025, they were used for supply and reconnaissance in high-altitude areas. Their help was sought in Uttarakhand floods.

China’s People’s Liberation Army Air Force (PLAAF) fielded its 8 modern J-16 multirole fighter jets against 6 Rafale jets of France in a tabletop war game simulation. On December 22, 2025, this exercise took place in Shuchang, Henan province and state media CCTV made its footage public, which is not common because China usually conducts such military simulations secretly. This exercise is part of modernizing China’s military training and showing preparedness against enemy threats.

Rafale becomes a threat in front of J-16

According to the Eurasian Times report, this year war gaming is being promoted on a large scale throughout the PLA and People’s Armed Police Force and this is the first year when pilot war gaming is taking place on such a large scale. 20 different units took part in this exercise. On one side of the board, 8 J-16 were shown as ‘Task Force’, while on the other side 6 Rafale were shown as ‘Threat’. The results of the simulation were not made public.

According to Eurasian Times, this move comes after the India-Pakistan conflict of May 2025, where Pakistan’s Chinese J-10C jets fought with Rafale, then Pakistan claimed that J-10C shot down several Rafales, but India rejected this. Apart from this, there is constant tension on the India-China border.

India currently has 36 Rafales, there is an order for 26 Rafale-Marines for the Navy and a proposal has been made to buy 114 more Rafales in September 2025. In such a situation, China’s choice of Rafale for simulation is being considered as a signal to counter India’s most advanced western fighter. In reports like South China Morning Post and Indian Defense Research Wing, it has also been described as a part of PLA’s preparation and signaling.

How special is China’s J-16 fighter jet?

The J-16 is China’s indigenous 4.5 generation heavy twin-engine multirole strike fighter, which is similar to the Russian Su-30 but completely upgraded with Chinese technology. It is strong in long-range operations, large weapon load and networked warfare.

Radar and Sensors: Indigenous Active Electronically Scanned Array (AESA) radar is installed, which can detect fighter size targets at a distance of 150-200 kilometers. Can track and engage 15-20 targets simultaneously.

Passive Detection: The Infrared Search and Track (IRST) system can detect the enemy at a distance of 50-80 kilometers without turning on the radar.

Payload: Due to payload up to 8 tons and long range, it is better in saturation attack, long patrolling and precision strike.

Weapon: Can carry air-to-air missiles, air-to-ground weapons, anti-ship missiles like PL-12 and PL-15. Capable of air-to-air combat, ground attack, electronic warfare (EW) and suppression of enemy air defenses (SEAD).

Apart from this, Helmet Mounted Display (HMD), J-20 inspired glass cockpit, radar absorbent material (RAM) and dark gray coating reduce radar signature, electronic countermeasures (ECM), missile approach warning system (MAWS) and chaff-flare dispenser. J-16 uses more carbon composite, due to which its weight is less. New datalink and improved EW system has been installed. The special variant J-16D is for electronic warfare, which supports fighters like J-20.

How better is J-16 than Rafale?

Rafale has more range and heavier payload, which is beneficial in long missions. With its canard-delta design, Rafale has better manoeuvrability, dogfighting and situational awareness. Rafale is combat proven, which has been used in Afghanistan, Libya, Mali, Iraq and Syria. Whereas J-16 has been used for interception in South China Sea.

How much is the Chinese fighter jet J-16 worth?

The J-16 is manufactured only for the Chinese Air Force and is not exported, so the exact unit cost is not public. Chinese fighters are much cheaper than Western jets because they are produced domestically and are made at a lower cost. For comparison, the price of export version of J-10C of the same category is said to be around 40-60 million US dollars i.e. around Rs 350 to 530 crore.

According to Global Security and other defense sources, the estimated cost of heavy fighters like J-16 may also be in the same range, but there is no official figure.

The three Indian armies are exercising in the name of Operation Trishul in Jaisalmer, the desert area of Rajasthan adjacent to the India-Pakistan border. On the 11th day of this 12-day exercise, the Indian Army conducted a huge exercise ‘Maru Jwala’. Let us tell you that this operation is considered to be the biggest joint exercise of the three armies since ‘Sindoor’.

Enemy targets identified with drones during exercise
Under the Operation Trishul exercise, units of the three armies, Army, Air Force and Navy, demonstrated united attacks on terrorist hideouts and enemy posts. During the exercise, enemy positions were identified using drones and nearby villages were evacuated. Helicopters provided cover fire to T-90 tanks, while AI-enabled drones and robotic mules delivered weapons and first aid to the troops.

Army tanks, cannons and fighter jets roared together
During this time, tanks, cannons, helicopters and fighter jets were seen in action together in the sea of sand. The exercise was led by Lieutenant General Dheeraj Seth, General Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Southern Command. He described it as a living example of the Army’s “JAI Mantra” of Jointness, Atmanirbharta and Innovation. Through ‘Maru Jwala’, indigenous weapons, communication systems and counter-drone technologies were tested in harsh sandy conditions. This exercise was not only a show of strength, but also proved the joint action and technical self-reliance of the Indian forces in modern warfare.

Southern Command led the exercise
Along with the tanks of the mechanized and armored corps of the Army, the fighter jets of the Air Force also showed their strength. This exercise was led by the Southern Command. Lieutenant General Dheeraj Seth, General Officer Commanding-in-Chief of Southern Command, inspected the battlefield and praised the efficiency of the soldiers. He said that the Indian Army is completely capable of fighting the enemies under any circumstances.

Amidst the ongoing war with Russia, Ukraine has taken an important initiative towards hi-teching its air force. Ukraine has signed a deal with Sweden to replace old fighter planes. Under this, he will buy 150 Saab Gripen fighter jets. Swedish Prime Minister Ulf Christerson and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced this agreement on October 22 at a press conference held in Linköping, Sweden.

According to the Swedish government, the number of units supplied to Ukraine may be between 100 and 150. Christerson said the deal is a step toward a larger potential export deal related to the Gripen. Zelensky has described the acquisition of Gripen as a top priority for Ukraine’s defense strategy. He has stressed the need to replace old Soviet aircraft and incorporate modern Western platforms.

has been used in war

According to Swedish media, the Gripen was used in direct combat for the first time this year, when Thailand deployed the fighter planes in the conflict with Cambodia. Earlier, the Gripen has been used mainly for air policing and was deployed in Poland as part of the NATO mission to patrol the airspace of allied countries in 2025.

Sweden’s Gripen competes with Lockheed Martin. Lockheed Martin’s F-35 and F-16 and Dassault Aviation have exported Rafale and Eurofighter to South Africa, Thailand, Brazil, Czech Republic and Hungary, while Colombia has also decided to buy Gripen. This aircraft has been in service since 1996. The first aircraft of its latest version, the Gripen E, was delivered to the Swedish Air Force in October. In total, more than 280 Gripens have been manufactured so far.

What is the specialty of Gripen fighter jet?

Saab Gripen E is a high-tech multirole fighter jet. It has been developed by Swedish aerospace company Saab. It is known as a fourth-generation lightweight, single-engine supersonic jet, capable of aerial combat, bombing and reconnaissance missions. The Gripen E is described as a ‘smart fighter’, providing a powerful combination of mobility, low cost, high availability and advanced sensor fusion technology required for modern warfare.

Gripen E performance

Its maximum speed is Mach 2 (about 2,400 km/h). It has 10 hardpoints (weapon and external tank emplacements), giving it the capability to carry a variety of air-to-air and air-to-surface weapons. It is capable of taking off even from rough or temporary runways. It has increased fuel capacity, giving it a maximum range of around 4,000 km.

What weapons can be deployed?

It can carry a variety of advanced weapons, including Meteor Beyond Visual Range air-to-air missiles. IRIS-T short-range infrared guided missile. Laser-guided and other precision guided bombs. Anti-ship missiles. It is also equipped with 27mm Mauser BK-27 cannon.

Pakistan’s JF-17 Block III fighter aircraft have reached Azerbaijan. These aircraft have been sent to participate in joint exercises between the two countries. This step is strengthening the military cooperation between Pakistan and Azerbaijan. Pak Army has made it clear that the purpose of the planes is only to participate in the Indus Shield Alpha exercise, the rumors about the arrival of new planes are baseless.

JF-17 reached Azerbaijan without stopping
Pakistani fighter planes flew non-stop from their base in Pakistan to Azerbaijan, showcasing their long-range flying capability. The Pakistan Army statement said that this exercise reflects the commitment of the Pakistan Air Force to regional stability and global military cooperation.

Azerbaijan-Pakistan’s strong relations
Azerbaijan and Pakistan have been partner countries for a long time. In May this year, both countries supported Islamabad during the India-Pakistan border conflict. At that time the Pak Air Force used JF-17 Block III and J-10CE aircraft and electronic warfare equipment.

Big deal for JF-17 for Azerbaijan
Azerbaijan has signed a $4.6 billion contract with Pakistan for 40 JF-17 Block III jets, the largest ever export order for the Pakistan Aeronautical Complex. Azerbaijan has purchased this aircraft mainly in view of the increasing tension with Armenia.

Features of JF-17 Block III
JF-17 Thunder is a single-engine multi-role fighter aircraft, which has been jointly developed by Pakistan and China. This aircraft has a Chinese airframe, Western avionics and Russian engine. Its service altitude is 50,000 feet and maximum speed is 1,200 mph. This aircraft is capable of carrying out missions like air interception and ground attack. It has a two-barreled 23 mm autocannon and a capacity to hold approximately 7,000 pounds of ammunition on seven hardpoints. The upgraded Block III version also includes AESA radar, PL-15 missiles and helmet mounted cue system. The aircraft can carry electro-optical/infrared sensors and self-defense jammers on external pods.

strength of pak air forceJF-17 Block III is the most modern and powerful aircraft of Pakistan Air Force. So far, more than 150 units are in service in the country’s Air Force. The advanced engine RD-93MA is ideal for high altitude and high speed missions.

Tension between Pakistan and Afghanistan has increased once again. In recent times, Pakistan has carried out frequent air strikes inside the Afghan border, in which many innocent civilians have died. The Taliban government neither has an air force nor an air defense system, that is why Pakistan is attacking with its fighter planes whenever and wherever it wants. The question arises that how much air power does Pakistan have and which aircraft are the backbone of its military power? Let us know the full strength of Pakistan Air Force.

Chengdu J-10 is a modern single-engine multirole fighter aircraft developed by China. It has been named Vigorous Dragon. Its delta wing and canard design gives it greater speed and maneuverability. This aircraft can fly up to a maximum speed of Mach 1.8. That means it is almost twice as fast as the speed of sound. The J-10 is developed by Chengdu Aircraft Corporation (CAC) and is specifically designed for air supremacy and ground attacks. Pakistan has recently purchased these aircraft from China and currently 20 J-10 fighter jets are active in Pakistan Air Force (PAF). This jet has the ability to provide some balance to Pakistan compared to India’s Rafale aircraft.

JF-17 Thunder is the backbone of Pakistan Air Force

Talking about the power of Pakistani Air Force, the most important name is JF-17 Thunder. It is a fourth-generation light, single-engine multirole fighter jet, jointly developed by China’s Chengdu Aircraft Corporation (CAC) and Pakistan’s Aeronautical Complex (PAC). The JF-17 is said to be an example of cheap, but deadly technology. This aircraft is equally capable of air-to-air, air-to-ground and anti-ship missions. Pakistan has started assembling it in its domestic industry and so far 156 of its aircraft are in active service.

Block-III, the modern version of JF-17, has added AESA radar, electronic warfare system and modern missile capability, making it at par with any modern fighter aircraft.

F-16 Fighting Falcon, Pakistan’s American weapon

F-16 Fighting Falcon is one of the most reliable aircraft of Pakistan Air Force. It is a supersonic multirole fighter jet made by American company Lockheed Martin. It was originally designed as an air superiority fighter, renowned for its accuracy and speed in dogfights. The F-16 has a maximum speed of more than Mach 2 and is equipped with modern weapons such as the AIM-120 AMRAAM missile. More than 4,600 F-16s have been built worldwide since 1976. Pakistan currently has 75 active F-16 aircraft, which are its first line force in any possible war or border conflict.

Mirage III The vintage glow of French technology

The Mirage III is one of the oldest, but very reliable, aircraft that Pakistan has. It was developed by the famous French company Dassault Aviation. It is a single-engine supersonic fighter jet, which was the main military force of Pakistan in the 1960s and 70s. At one time Pakistan had 145 Mirage III, but now their number has come down to 49. Although this aircraft is old, Pakistan is still modifying it to use it in surveillance and attack missions under the Mirage ROSE project.

Mirage 5 bomber dragon made for attack

The Mirage 5 is an improved version of the Mirage III, also built by Dassault Aviation. The aircraft was developed specifically for ground-attack missions and featured greater fuel capacity and improved radar systems. Pakistan has upgraded Mirage 5 aircraft several times and they are still used in its old missions. Currently 37 Mirage 5 jets are active in the Pakistani Air Force. These are mainly used for bombing and night attacks.

Chengdu J-7 Classic Warrior

Chengdu J-7 is a Chinese fighter aircraft, which is based on the MiG-21 model of the Soviet Union. It is light, fast and designed for short-range aerial combat. J-7 is equipped with infrared homing air-to-air missiles, which makes it lethal in limited ranges. Although it is technically old, Pakistan still uses it in limited missions. Currently Pakistani Air Force has 53 J-7 aircraft.

International demand for old fighter planes of Qatar’s Air Force has suddenly increased. While India has shown interest in Qatar’s Mirage 2000 jets, Turkey has expressed its desire to buy its Eurofighter Typhoon aircraft. Interestingly, relations between India and Turkey have been strained in recent years, yet both are showing interest in purchasing used jets from the same country.

According to a Eurasian Times report, Middle East Eye claimed on October 7 that Turkey is discussing a deal with Qatar to buy second-hand Eurofighter Typhoon jets. Negotiations are still going on and it is expected that this deal can be finalized soon. However, the governments of both the countries have not said anything officially on this.

Turkey eyes Eurofighter Typhoon

Turkish Defense Minister Yasar Gular and Air Force Commander General Zia Cemal Kadioglu recently visited Doha. It is believed that the purpose of this visit was to discuss the deal for 10 to 15 Tranche 3A Eurofighter Typhoon aircraft from Qatar. Qatar currently operates 24 Eurofighter Typhoon Tranche 3A jets and has also ordered 12 additional Tranche 4 jets. Apart from this, Qatar’s Air Force also has modern aircraft like F-15QA and French Rafale.

Turkey needs the deal because its American F-16 fighter jet fleet is now aging and it has been phased out of the F-35 program. Its own KAAN stealth fighter is still in the early stages of development. Therefore, these jets received from Qatar can prove to be a big relief for the Turkish Air Force.

How are the relations between Turkey and Qatar?

Turkey and Qatar have long had strong strategic relations. Military and economic partnership between the two countries has increased since the beginning of the 2010s. A Turkish military base is located in the Tarkiya area of Qatar, where about 3,000 soldiers are deployed. Qatar has also purchased drones and armored vehicles from Turkey. Both countries are also allies of each other in defense production. Due to this strategic partnership, Qatar is openly negotiating with Turkey for the sale of its old aircraft.

India also wants Qatar’s Mirage 2000 jets

The Indian Air Force has been in talks with Qatar since June last year for the purchase of 12 second-hand Mirage 2000 fighter jets. These aircraft include 9 single seat Mirage 2000-5EDA and 3 twin seat Mirage 2000-5DDA. These aircraft were delivered to Qatar in the mid-1990s and were used very limitedly, so the condition of their airframes is considered to be good. According to an ANI report, Qatar has offered this jet to India at an estimated cost of around Rs 5000 crore (about 600 million dollars). However, India wants to buy them at a lower price than this.

Why are these aircraft important for India?

Mirage-2000 aircraft have long been considered the backbone of the Indian Air Force. Their headquarters is at Gwalior Airbase. These French-made aircraft joined the Indian Air Force in 1985 and since then have proved their reliability in many missions. India currently has about 45 to 50 Mirage-2000 aircraft. If the deal is made with Qatar, this number will exceed 60, which will further increase the strength of the fleet. Mirage aircraft also played an important role in historical operations like Balakot airstrike, which has further increased their usefulness and importance.

Strategic competition between India and Turkey

The effort of both India and Turkey to buy jets from the same country is also interesting from geopolitical point of view. While Pakistan is known for its military aid and anti-India rhetoric, India has in recent years strengthened ties with anti-Turkish countries such as Greece, Armenia and Cyprus.

India is going to take a big step towards strengthening the Air Force. Ministry of Defense Ministry will meet Russian officials this week. According to media reports, there will be talks on joint construction or direct purchase of 5 additional S-400 air defense systems from Russia to increase India’s long distance defense capabilities.

According to reports, this deal will be cleared before Vladimir Putin’s annual summit with Prime Minister Narendra Modi before coming to India on 5 December.

Government will be deal with government

According to a report by Hindustan Times, both sides have already agreed to the cost of additional 5 systems with an annual increase from the price of 2018. There are reports that 3 out of 5 systems will be purchased directly. Apart from this, the rest will be constructed under technology transfer by companies of Indian private sector.

According to the report, people aware of the case told on the condition of anonymity that this deal will be between the government from the government. In this, facilities for maintenance, repair and overhaul will be established in collaboration with the Indian private sector. He further said that the news of buying the S-500 system towards India is wrong. The reason for this is that such a system is still under consideration in Russia.

India will get 2 and S-400 systems by 2026

From Russia, 2 S-400 air defense systems, which are part of the 2018 deal, will reach India by the end of 2026. India and Russia are talking about buying 5 more air defense systems, which can protect India’s 7 thousand kilometers long coastline.

India can also buy missiles from Russia

India is also searching for the air-to-air missile and RVV-BD from Russia to make the SU-30mki fleet even more powerful. The reason for this is that Pakistan is also using a PL 15 air -to -air missile with 200 km of China -made 200 km.
