Which students get relief in fees?

Fee waiver facility is also available in NIT for economically weaker students. Families whose annual income is up to Rs 1 lakh can be given complete waiver of tuition fees. At the same time, students from families with annual income ranging from Rs 1 lakh to Rs 5 lakh get huge relief in tuition fees. To avail this benefit, it is necessary to submit a valid income certificate.

Which charges are not exempted?

The relief given in fees is limited to tuition fees only. Students have to deposit other amounts like hostel fees, mess charges, library fees, examination fees, internet and computer fees separately. Therefore, it is important to make a correct estimate of the total expenses before admission.

There is an atmosphere of happiness in the homes of thousands of students as soon as the results of JEE Advanced 2026, which is counted among the toughest entrance examinations in the country, are out. How much can be the category wise cut-off?

The expected cut-off of JEE Main 2026 is the minimum percentile after crossing which students are considered eligible for JEE Advanced and JoSAA counselling. Looking at the pattern of previous years, this time too it is estimated that the cut-off for General category may be around 93 to 95 percentile, while for GEN-EWS it may be around 80 to 82, for OBC 79 to 81, for SC 61 to 64 and for ST category it may be around 48 to 50 percentile. Whereas for PwD category it is likely to be around 0.001 to 1.0 percentile. However, all these figures are only approximate and the actual cut-off will be decided only after the release of the result.
