Terence was born on April 10, 1975 in Mumbai. From the age of just 6 years, he was inclined towards dance since childhood. Realizing his love for dance, Terence was determined to make it his profession. Dance entered Terence’s life through a competition during his school days. One day in the class the teacher asked Terence whether he would like to be a part of it and he immediately agreed. Terence not only participated in this dance competition but also won it. After this, Terence started learning Kathak secretly.

Terence started his career in Bollywood with choreography in the film ‘Lagaan’, but he did not like this work much and within a short time, Terence distanced himself from films. Then Terence worked as a fitness instructor. He has also trained many celebrities including Gauri Khan, Madhuri Dixit, Sushmita Sen, Sussanne Khan and Bipasha Basu. After this he worked as a judge in TV shows. Terence has worked as a judge in many shows like ‘Dance India Dance’, ‘Nach Baliye’, ‘India Best Dancer 1 and 2’.

Terence has also choreographed the Hollywood film ‘Beauty and the Beast’.
