Punjab Kings team missed out on making the record of fastest fifty in IPL. Here we are talking about the fastest fifty made by any team. In the match against Delhi Capitals, Punjab team had touched the fifty-run mark in just 2.4 overs. Priyansh Arya and Prabhsimran Singh helped Punjab make the record of second fastest fifty in IPL. Let us tell you that out of the first 50 runs of the team, 40 were from Priyansh Arya alone.
Fastest fifty in IPL history
RCB holds the record for scoring the fastest fifty by any team in the history of the Indian Premier League. Royal Challengers Bangalore had scored fifty in 2.3 overs i.e. 15 balls against Kochi Tuskers Kerala in the year 2011. Even today, after 15 years, the record of the team scoring the fastest fifty is in the name of Bengaluru.
If Punjab Kings had touched the fifty-run mark a ball earlier, they would have equaled RCB in terms of fastest half-century. In the same season, Rajasthan Royals also touched the figure of fifty runs in 2.4 overs. She also missed breaking RCB’s 15 year old record.

Priyansh Arya helped Punjab Kings in making this record. Priyansh had achieved a historic feat by hitting a six on the first ball of this match. He has become the first batsman to hit a six on the first ball of an IPL match twice.
