TTE i.e. Traveling Ticket Examiner is the employee who checks the tickets of the passengers inside the train. Its duty is in express and superfast trains. Its main responsibility is to provide seats to the passengers during the journey, clear the waiting list and solve their problems.

Whereas TC i.e. Ticket Collector is posted at the railway station. It checks the tickets of passengers at the platform, gate or footover bridge. Its main work is to collect fine from those traveling without ticket and to give correct information to the passengers.
