Twisha Sharma death case: Twisha’s mother-in-law and husband Samarth will remain in CBI custody for 5 days, secrets related to death will be revealed.

Former judge Giribala Singh, arrested by the CBI in the Twisha Sharma death case, was produced in the CBI Special Court in Bhopal on Friday (May 29). CBI had asked for extension of remand of Samarth for 5 days and remand of Giribala Singh for 5 days, which has been approved. Both will now appear in the court on June 2 at 2 pm.

Arrested on 28th May

Giribala Singh was arrested by the CBI a day after the anticipatory bail of Giribala Singh was canceled by the MP High Court. At around 10:30 am on Thursday morning, the CBI team along with heavy police force reached his house in Katara Hills, Bhopal and interrogated him for about seven hours. This action took place a day after the 17-page order given by the MP High Court on Wednesday.

After his arrest, on Thursday (May 28), the CBI team took him to Maulana Azad National Institute of Technology campus in Bhopal for medical examination. Permission was taken from Madhya Pradesh Police for investigation.

Twisha died on 12th May

Twisha Sharma died of alleged suicide on May 12. However, the High Court said in its order that the WhatsApp chats and the statement of Twisha’s family indicate that the allegations were not limited to her husband only. The court also said that Twisha was pressurized to have an abortion and the fact that the abortion had taken place has been accepted in the case.

Accused husband also in CBI custody

Twisha Sharma was found dead in her in-laws’ house on May 12. She was married to Samarth Singh on 9 December 2025 and he died about five months after the marriage. Twisha’s husband Samarth Singh was arrested from Jabalpur on 22 May and was sent to CBI custody on Wednesday.
