One person died in a major train accident in the early hours of Saturday (June 20, 2026) in Munich, Germany. Actually, two goods trains collided on a bridge in Munich, due to which two coaches of the train derailed and fell on the road below.
According to Reuters report, the police spokesperson of the southern German city of Mülich, while giving information about the incident, said that the reasons behind the accident are being investigated. Told that the emergency services received information about this incident which took place in Milbertshofen, the northern district of Munich, at around 1:40 am on Friday (June 19, 2026). At the same time, a spokesperson of the fire department said that after receiving information about the incident, about 60 emergency personnel along with firefighters and rescue team were deployed on the spot.

One dead, many injured in train accident in Britain
The accident came just hours after a separate train accident in Britain. A train driver was killed and dozens of passengers were injured in a collision between two commuter trains about 100 kilometers north of London on Friday afternoon (June 19, 2026).

Rail operator East Midlands Railway confirmed on Saturday (June 20, 2026) that the driver of one of the London-bound trains died in the accident. The East of England Ambulance Service said one person died at the scene, while 11 others were seriously injured. Along with this, 22 people suffered serious injuries and 56 others suffered minor injuries and were treated in the hospital.

In the video shared on social media, the front part of one train was seen smashed into the rear part of another train, although the coaches were seen standing straight on the tracks. After this tragic accident, British Prime Minister Keir Starmer expressed condolences to the family of the person who died in the accident and wished for the speedy recovery of the injured.
