Let us tell you that the re-exam of the country’s biggest medical entrance examination NEET-UG 2026 will be conducted tomorrow i.e. Sunday, June 21. The exam will run from 2 pm to 5:15 pm. About 22.79 lakh candidates will appear in this exam in 551 cities across the country and 14 cities abroad.
After the controversies that arose regarding the recent examination, this time the National Testing Agency (NTA) has made very strict security arrangements. There will be arrangements for CCTV surveillance, biometric verification, police security and intensive searching at the examination centres.
First know the reporting time
Candidates will have to reach the examination center between 11 am to 1:30 pm. NTA has clearly said that no candidate will be allowed to enter the center after 1:30 pm. Therefore, avoid taking last minute risks and reach the center before time.
What to take to the examination center?
- Print copy of admit card
- A valid photo identity card (Aadhaar, PAN, Voter ID etc.)
- Passport size photo for attendance sheet
- transparent water bottle
- Candidates suffering from diabetes can carry sugar tablets and fruits (banana, apple, orange etc.) as per the rules.
What should I wear?
- NTA has advised the candidates to wear simple and light clothes.
- It would be better to wear half sleeve clothes.
- Avoid clothes with heavy embroidery, big buttons or many pockets.
- Wear simple slippers or sandals.
- Do not wear metal accessories.
- Candidates wearing religious or traditional attire have been advised to arrive slightly earlier for additional checking.
What will happen inside the centre?
Candidates will be thoroughly screened before admission. After this, Aadhaar based biometric verification will be done so that any fake candidate can be identified. However, NTA has clarified that if biometric verification is not done due to technical reasons, weak fingerprint or UIDAI connectivity problem, the candidate will not be stopped from taking the exam. In such cases, manual verification will be done on the basis of documents.

How will the monitoring be done?
- This time the examination will be monitored at many levels.
- 674 city coordinators and 6,669 observers have been deployed across the country.
- All examination centers will be under the surveillance of CCTV cameras.
- Live monitoring will be done from the control room.
- Question paper and confidential material will be sent in sealed security system.
- The vehicles carrying the material will have GPS tracking and police escort.
- Special attention is also being kept on social media.
Be careful of rumors
NTA has appealed to the candidates not to believe any rumors related to question paper leak or irregularities in the examination. Trust only official information and report any suspicious activity to the relevant authorities.
