UP Private Universities Quality Check: The state government has taken strict steps regarding the education and administrative system of private universities in UP. Now all the 52 private universities of the state will be thoroughly checked. Its objective is to ensure compliance with the rules and also to determine the quality and transparency of education. For this, the State Higher Education Council has constituted 11 special committees. These committees will inspect all private universities within the next one month and submit their report to the council. If any university is found lacking in standards, action will also be taken against it.
Which 11 special committees have been formed
The State Higher Education Council has divided the entire state into 11 divisions and formed check committees. These committees will be headed by the respective Divisional Commissioner. The committee will include officers nominated under the District Magistrate, Finance Officer of the State University, Regional Higher Education Officer and Vice Chancellors of the respective State Universities. The main work of these committees is to conduct on-site inspection of universities, check necessary documents and prepare reports after collecting all the information.
On what things will this change happen?
The check committees will focus on 17 important aspects to determine the quality and administrative transparency of private universities. This includes the permission granted to private universities (LOP), condition of land and buildings, infrastructure and facilities, trust or society operations, financial resources and funds, appointment process and pay scale of teachers, UGC approved courses, admission rules of students, grievance redressal system, academic calendar, ranking of universities, administrative functioning, student and teacher participation, library and other facilities, as well as status of special projects and research work. A thorough review of all these points will ensure that private universities maintain high standards of education and are transparent, systematic and fair to the students.

How will the action be taken?
The purpose of the government is not just to inspect. If violation of rules or lack of facilities is found in any private university, then action will be taken against the concerned university as per rules. This means that if there is a problem with the preparation of the report, immediate steps will be taken for immediate correction.
