Severe heat wave and hot winds will continue in the state for the next three to four days, which may disrupt life.
According to the Meteorological Department, the effect of western disturbance has now reduced considerably in UP. The weather is expected to remain clear in most parts of the state today, Saturday, May 16. As the day progresses, the sun will shine and the heat of the afternoon sun will become more severe. All 75 districts of the state will remain in the green zone today. There is no possibility of rain or clouds anywhere. The temperature will rise further in the coming days and the heat will increase.
Extreme heat and heat wave begins in UP
According to the Meteorological Department, the weather will remain like this in the state till May 19. During this time, there is a possibility of heat wave during the day in different districts, while at some places the effect of very strong heat wave will be seen. From May 20-21, there may be light rain or drizzle at one or two places in eastern UP, but this will not have any significant impact on the temperature. The weather is likely to remain dry in western UP.

Yellow alert of severe heat wave in these districts
In UP today, a severe heat wave alert has been issued in 27 districts including Agra, Firozabad, Mainpuri, Jhansi, Chitrakoot, Mirzapur, Hamirpur, Fatehpur, Lalitpur. At the same time, the situation can become very bad in Prayagraj, Varanasi, Jalaun, Banda and surrounding districts. The maximum temperature in these districts remains around 43-45 degrees. Banda was the hottest district of the state in the last 24 hours. The mercury here was recorded at 45.2 degrees Celsius.
Due to strong sunlight and heat wave, the temperature will increase rapidly in the coming days. According to the Meteorological Department, there may be a gradual increase of 3-5 degrees Celsius in the maximum temperature of the state in the next 3-4 days. In such a situation the mercury can reach 47-48 degrees. There will be scorching sun during the day, in such a situation people have been advised to stay at home. Go out only when absolutely necessary and be careful.
