Marking scheme and important advice for students

There is negative marking on every wrong answer in UPSC Prelims. In which there are total 100 questions in the General Studies paper and each question is of 2 marks. If any answer is wrong then one third of it i.e. 0.33 marks is deducted. If more than one answer is given for a question, it is also considered wrong. Therefore, it is very important to answer thoughtfully. The Commission has also advised that candidates should use only black ball pen. Students should not panic, but prepare with a calm mind and take the exam following the rules. Right strategy and confidence is the key to success.
