- Secured 273 rank in UPSC exam in the first attempt.
It is said that failure is the real teacher. The one who learns from this, achieves great success in future. Similar is the story of IPS officer Akash Kulhari, whose school life was very ordinary. He was not considered good in studies. There even came a time when he was expelled from school. But that same incident changed the direction of his life. Today, the same Akash Kulhari is counted among the flamboyant IPS officers of the country.
Akash Kulhari, born in Bikaner, Rajasthan, was known more for mischief than studies in his childhood. He scored only 57 percent marks in class 10. The school administration was unhappy with his performance and expelled him from the school. Not only this, he was not even given admission in class 11th. This was a big shock for him. But this shock did not break him, but made him stronger from within.
Akash did not give up. He promised himself that now he would give a new direction to his life. He took admission in Kendriya Vidyalaya and started concentrating fully on studies. The effect of hard work was visible soon. He secured 85 percent marks in class 12th. The boy who was once thrown out of school due to low marks was now moving ahead with good marks.
Where did you take admission?
After school, Akash studied B.Com from Dungar College, Bikaner. After this he came to Delhi. Here he took admission in Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) and did MA. Along with studies, a big dream started taking shape in his mind – the dream of passing the UPSC Civil Services Examination, which is considered to be the toughest examination in the country.
