Uttar Pradesh Subordinate Services Selection Commission (UPSSSC) has announced recruitment for the posts of Excise Constable. A total of 722 posts will be filled under this recruitment. The special thing is that only those candidates who have given PET 2025 exam and their scorecard is valid can apply.
How many posts will be recruited
Under this recruitment drive, appointments will be made on a total of 722 posts. In these, seats have been fixed for different categories. Maximum posts have been kept for the general category, while the benefit of reservation will also be given to the candidates of SC, ST, OBC and EWS category. This recruitment is being done under the Excise Department of the state.
what qualification is required
To apply, the candidate must have passed 12th. This examination should be passed from Uttar Pradesh Board or any recognized board. Apart from this, it is mandatory to have the scorecard of PET 2025. Candidates who have obtained ‘B’ certificate of NCC or have served in the Territorial Army for at least 2 years will be given preference.
age limit
To apply for this recruitment, the minimum age of the candidate has been fixed at 18 years and maximum age at 40 years. Age will be calculated on the basis of 1st July 2026. Reserved category candidates will also get age relaxation as per government rules.
physical fitness
Physical fitness is very important for the post of Excise Constable. The height of male candidates should be at least 167.6 cm, while for women it has been fixed at 152 cm (there is some relaxation for SC/ST women). In the physical test, men will have to complete a 4.8 kilometer run in 25 minutes, while women will have to complete a 2.4 kilometer run in 14 minutes.

selection process
Selection in this recruitment will be done in several stages. First of all, on the basis of PET score, candidates will be shortlisted for the main examination.
After this there will be a written examination. Candidates who pass the written examination will have to give Physical Measurement Test (PMT) and Physical Efficiency Test (PET). The final selection of the candidates who are successful in all the stages will be done.
How much salary will you get?
Selected candidates will be given salary under Level-2. In this, the starting salary will be Rs 19,900 per month, which can increase up to Rs 63,200. Apart from this, government allowances will also be available, due to which the total salary becomes better.
How much will the application fee be?
The application fee for UPSSSC Excise Constable Recruitment 2026 has been kept the same for all categories of candidates. General / OBC / EWS, SC / ST, PWD i.e. candidates of each category will have to pay only Rs 25 as application fee.
