The date of the final of IPL 2026 is approaching. Royal Challengers Bangalore has made it to the title clash. The name of the second finalist team will be revealed on May 29, when Gujarat Titans and Rajasthan Royals will clash in Qualifier 2. In this match, once again everyone’s eyes will be on Vaibhav Suryavanshi.
Vaibhav Suryavanshi had made ghosts of Sunrisers Hyderabad bowlers in the eliminator match. He had broken many big records in his inning of 97 runs studded with 5 fours and 12 sixes. There are three big records which Vaibhav can break in the Qualifier 2 match against Gujarat Titans.
Fastest 1000 runs in IPL (Indian)
The fastest Indian batsman to score 1000 runs in IPL history is Sai Sudarshan. He touched the figure of 1000 runs in 25 innings. Vaibhav Suryavanshi has so far scored 932 runs in 22 innings. In Qualifier 2, against Gujarat, Vaibhav can complete one thousand runs by scoring 68 runs in his 23rd innings. By doing this, Vaibhav will become the fastest Indian to score 1000 IPL runs.
Fastest 100 sixes in IPL
Vaibhav Suryavanshi has faced 402 balls so far in his short IPL career and has hit 89 sixes so far. If Vaibhav hits 11 more sixes in Qualifier 2, then the record of hitting 100 sixes playing the least number of balls in IPL will be added to his name. Currently this record is in the name of Andre Russell, who touched the figure of 100 sixes after playing 657 balls.
700 runs in a season
If we look at the history of Rajasthan Royals, till now Jos Buttler is the only batsman who has scored more than 800 runs in a season. No other batsman from Rajasthan has been able to touch the figure of 700 runs in a season. 15-year-old Vaibhav can become only the second RR batsman to score 700+ runs in a season. To do this they will have to score 20 runs against Gujarat.
