Why RR loss Against SRH: The 36th match of IPL 2026 was played between Rajasthan Royals and Sunrisers Hyderabad. Rajasthan had to face defeat by 5 wickets in the match held at Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur. Batting first, Rajasthan put 228 runs on the board for 6 wickets in 20 overs. Then chasing, Hyderabad won in just 18.3 overs. After this defeat, Rajasthan captain Riyan Parag told why the team lost even after making such a big total.
Why did Rajasthan lose even after scoring 228 runs?
Speaking in the post-match presentation, Rajasthan captain Riyan Parag said, “I think skill-wise we executed our plan well, but I think we dropped too many catches. In the case of Abhishek and all the quality players who bat, I think you cannot drop their catches and give them a second chance. They took those. So credit goes to them. But they could have been better on the field.

Talking about the target, Riyan Parag said, “I think we lost 10-15 runs. To be honest, he bowled very well in the 18th and 19th overs. He bowled brilliantly, bowled very good yorkers. I think we could not have done anything special. But if the result had been the best, I think we would have scored 15 more runs.”
