The bumper voting in the first phase of West Bengal Assembly elections has created history. Sitalkuchi seat

Sitalkuchi seat situated in Cooch Behar district is reserved for Scheduled Caste i.e. SC. This seat has seen more voting than all the other seats in the first phase. Here about 97.53 percent people have used their votes. In Sitalkuchi, Scheduled Caste voters are in majority, numbering 63.59 percent, while Muslim voters are 26.10 percent. There has been good voting here before also.

Bhagwangola Seat

Bhagwangola assembly seat falls in Murshidabad district, which is always in the headlines. This time 96.95 percent voting took place in Bhagwangola seat. More than 85 percent of the voters in this seat are Muslims, while around 14 percent are voters from Hindu and other communities.

Raghunathganj seat

Raghunathganj assembly seat comes under Murshidabad district. There has been heavy voting on this seat. According to the official data of the Election Commission, 96.90 percent voting took place here, which is the second highest among 152 seats. According to Chanakya, the Muslim population in this assembly constituency is about 80 percent.

mekliganj seat

Mekliganj seat of Cooch Behar district is reserved for Scheduled Caste. 96.87 percent voting took place on this seat. If we talk about Muslim voters here, their number is 49,371 i.e. about 22.80 percent of the total voters. There are the highest number of SC voters here, whose number is 1 lakh 41 thousand, which is about 65 percent.

raninagar seat

Raninagar assembly seat is located in Murshidabad district, which is a general seat. In the first phase of voting, 96.81 percent voting took place on this seat. Raninagar seat is a Muslim dominated assembly constituency. There are about 81 percent Muslim voters in Raninagar area, while the Scheduled Caste voters are 7.90 percent.
