On Monday (April 27, 2026), two days before the second phase of assembly elections to be held in West Bengal, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has given a message to the people of the state. PM Modi has expressed his feelings about Bengal through audio messages in Hindi and Bengali languages. He said that I am confident that on Wednesday (April 29, 2026) the people of West Bengal will create a new record of voting.
Along with this, while demanding support for Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) from the people, he said that my family members of Bengal, a golden opportunity is in front of you to hoist the flag of BJP’s victory in the festival of democracy. I am confident that on April 29 you will create a new record of voting.
What did PM Modi say to the people of Bengal?
Prime Minister Narendra Modi said, ‘Every festival of democracy is very sacred, I too have got the opportunity to participate in this festival of Bengal. Recently, I have got the opportunity to present before all of you the roadmap of BJP for the development of Bengal, for the bright future of Bengal, for the bright future of the young generation of Bengal.
He said, ‘The election campaign in Bengal is ending today at 5 pm. My last rally of this election has also taken place. Now, through this letter, I not only want to express my gratitude to every family member of Bengal, but I am also expressing my feelings.
I did not feel tired at all during the Bengal election campaign: PM Modi
PM Modi said, ‘During these elections, I have felt a different energy in Bengal. Despite so much heat and so many rallies, I did not feel the slightest bit tired in this election campaign in Bengal. These rallies, these road shows, I used to feel as if I was going on a pilgrimage. I used to go among the devotees of Maa Kali, so probably Maa Kali was also continuously filling me with new energy.

He said, ‘When the consecration of Ram Lalla was organized in Ayodhya in January 2024. Before that, I had performed rituals and fast for 11 days with devotion. I feel that at that time Lord Shri Ram had filled me with immense energy. In this election also, I got the same feeling as I get while visiting a deity’s temple. Seeing the people in the form of God has infused new energy into me.

The Prime Minister said, ‘In all the rallies and road shows of Bengal, I have received so many loving messages and pictures that I can never forget them. Whenever I get the first chance after rallies and road shows, I look at those pictures with great satisfaction at night. I read your loving messages, your letters and also get my reply written. Be it youth, sisters, daughters, elders, friends of every age group, I see and experience the feeling of affection that is manifested in you. I want to say today that your love and your blessings are the real treasure of my life.
Resolve of every citizen of Bengal – now we have to live through change: PM Modi
PM Modi said, ‘During this election, I also saw that be it the youth of Bengal, women, farmers, workers, everyone is so impatient and eager for the bright future of Bengal, for a developed Bengal. The youth of Bengal now wants an open field to move forward. Our daughters of Bengal want open skies and security. Every citizen, every family of Bengal is moving forward with the same determination. And that resolution is now to keep changing. Change has become the resolve of every person. Even the common man is saying – enough fear, no more fear, now we need trust, now we need BJP.
He said, ‘It is my responsibility to serve Bengal, to secure Bengal. It is both my destiny and my responsibility to convert every challenge that comes before Bengal into an opportunity. I will not shy away from this responsibility. I assure you that everyone will celebrate the swearing-in of the BJP Chief Minister in Bengal together. This is not my personal belief, I have experienced this belief within you.
PM Modi’s appeal to the people of Bengal
During this, PM Modi appealed to the people of Bengal and said, ‘The first phase of voting has created history, now it is your responsibility to vote as much as possible on April 29. You have got a great opportunity to hoist the flag of victory in this temple of democracy. Together we will make Bengal developed and this is Modi’s guarantee.
