IAS Medha Rupam is a 2014 batch IAS officer of Uttar Pradesh cadre. He was born on 21 October 1990 in Agra. His early education took place in Kerala schools Naval Public School, Ernakulam and St. Thomas School, Thiruvananthapuram. She came to Delhi for further studies and went to St. Has done BA (Hons) in Economics from Stephen’s College. He secured All India 10th rank in Civil Services Examination 2013. IAS Medha Rupam participated in the Kerala State Shooting Championship and won three gold medals. This achievement of his gave him recognition not only at the state level but also at the national level.

Medha Rupam is the daughter of the country’s Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar, but her identity is made by her work in the administrative service. During his posting in different districts, he created his own image by working on the ground. From July 29, 2025, he is working as the District Magistrate of Gautam Buddha Nagar (Noida). Before this, she had also played important responsibilities in districts like Meerut, Baghpat, Hapur and Kasganj. She has also been the first woman District Magistrate of Gautam Buddha Nagar.

The salary of IAS officers is fixed as per the pay scale of the Central Government. According to reports, Medha Rupam comes in Junior Administrative Grade (Level 12), where the basic salary is around Rs 78,800 per month.
