Many types of discussions are going on in Maharashtra regarding Sharad Pawar’s NCP. Sometimes there is talk of merger of his party with Congress and sometimes there is a rumor that Sharad group is preparing to join NDA. Meanwhile, party MP and Sharad Pawar’s daughter Supriya Sule has rejected all the speculations. He says that our party has not received such a proposal.
Baramati MP Supriya Sule said in Mumbai on Saturday (July 18) that NCP (SP) neither received any proposal to join NDA nor to merge with the ruling NCP or Congress. No proposal has come from anyone. Neither Sharad Pawar, Jayant Patil, Anil Deshmukh, Rajesh Tope nor any other senior leader of our party has received any such proposal.
Supriya Sule had earlier also rejected speculations of political change.
Earlier on July 10 also, Supriya Sule had rejected the speculations of major political changes in Maharashtra. He had said that his party has no intention of joining NDA. During a press conference, Supriya Sule had clearly said, “Neither anyone is talking to us nor are we talking to anyone. The question of alliance with BJP has not come up in our discussion. These news are limited only to newspapers and TV channels.”
Sule also mentioned the lessons learned from father Sharad Pawar
During this time, the Baramati MP had also mentioned a lesson he had learned from his father Sharad Pawar. “Sharad Pawar always says that if you are being discussed – whether for good or bad reasons, it means your political credibility is still strong,” he said laughing.
