Fast bowler Yash Dayal, who plays for Royal Challengers Bangalore in IPL, will join another team before the next season. Yash has not played competitive cricket after IPL 2025. He was accused of sexual harassment. A big update has come out regarding the change in the team of Yash Dayal, who plays for Uttar Pradesh in domestic cricket.

In the upcoming domestic season 2026-27, Yash will be seen playing for Chhattisgarh instead of Uttar Pradesh. For this he has sought No Objection Certificate (NOC) from Uttar Pradesh Cricket Association. He himself disclosed about this change.

Speaking to Times of India, Yash Dayal said, “I have applied for NOC in UPCA. Before next month, I will join the fitness camp of Chhattisgarh team and will play for Chhattisgarh in the upcoming domestic season.”

Yash also appeared emotional after leaving Uttar Pradesh Cricket. He said, “Playing for Uttar Pradesh and representing the team in Ranji was a very special and proud thing. The UP Cricket Association was very close to my heart. I got recognition from UP. I played in the IPL and was also selected for Team India. UPCA contributed a lot to whatever I achieved.”

Yash further said, “As a cricketer, no one wants to go through such a phase in his life which will shake his life. But cricket taught me how to bounce back and perform. I did not run away from my difficulties.”

Yash Dayal’s career for Uttar Pradesh

Yash played for Uttar Pradesh from 2018 to 2025. During this period he played 27 First Class, 23 List-A and 71 T20 matches. He took 84 wickets in 50 first class innings. Took 36 wickets in 22 innings of List-A. Took 66 wickets in 71 innings of remaining T20.
