With this decision of the government, basic salary, allowances, pension and other benefits will increase. West Bengal Minister of State Agnimitra Paul has announced this. Earlier, the notification of 6th Pay Commission of West Bengal was issued in September 2019. Then the state government employees got the arrears from January 1, 2016.

What will be the basic salary in the 7th Pay Commission?
There are 25 levels in the Seventh Pay Commission. Among these, the basic salary is Rs 17 thousand. Whereas the maximum is Rs 1,28,900. In the 6th Pay Commission, the West Bengal Government had fixed the fitment factor of 2.57. It works as a multiplier in pension and salary. However, it may take time to declare this factor. With this, changes in salary will be known.
Schemes related to Annapurna and free tours approved
Apart from this, the proposal of Annapurna Bhandar Scheme was also presented in the cabinet of the state government on Monday. Under this, an allowance of Rs 3000 thousand per month will be given to the women of the state. In such a situation, it will be connected to the women registered under the Lakshmi Bhandar Scheme run by the previous government, and they will get benefits. Apart from this, the decision of free travel for women has been approved. From June 1, women will be able to travel free in all government buses of the state. Apart from this, the state government has withdrawn religion based welfare schemes.
