Congress leader and former CM Ashok Gehlot reached Patna and made both the parties sit together and explain. According to sources, Gehlot explained to Tejashwi Yadav that first win the elections, form the government and you will become the Chief Minister. If the alliance itself breaks then the question of government will not arise.
After the mediation of Congress, it was decided that Sahani will become the Deputy Chief Minister.
After Gehlot’s mediation, Tejashwi Yadav agreed. After the consensus was reached, it was announced in the joint press conference that Mukesh Sahni would be presented as the face of the Deputy Chief Minister. It was also added that Deputy Chief Ministers can be made from other communities also so that dissatisfaction does not spread in any section.
In this way, due to Gehlot’s intervention, the grand alliance was saved from breaking and the direction of the election campaign could be decided. It is believed in political circles that Ashok Gehlot once again showed his political magic and made a deal that seemed impossible possible.
