On the Ashtami Tithi of Krishna Paksha of Margashirsha or Ahagan month, the fierce and ferocious form of Lord Shiva was born, which is known as Kaal Bhairav. Therefore, every year this date is celebrated as Kaal Bhairav Jayanti which is on Wednesday, 12th November.
Kaal Bhairav is also known as Kotwal of Kashi. By worshiping Bhairav Baba, a person gets freedom from untimely death, fear, enemies and debt. On the day of Kaal Bhairav Jayanti or Bhairav Ashtami, definitely offer his favorite things in the puja. Know which indulgences are dear to Bhairav ji.
Imarti- Imarti is considered the main offering in the worship of Lord Kaal Bhairav. Kaal Bhairav is pleased by offering Imarti as it is his favorite offering.
Liquor- In many places, there is a tradition of offering raw liquor or country liquor to Lord Kaal Bhairav. However, this custom is performed according to local traditions. It is not mandatory for all the devotees to offer liquor.
Things made from black sesame – It is auspicious to offer black sesame or things made from black sesame to Kaal Bhairav. You can offer sweets made from sesame seeds, laddus, rewari etc. This not only makes Kaal Bhairav happy, but also reduces the troubles associated with planet Saturn.
Dahi Vada- It is believed that offering Dahi Vada calms the fierce energy of Kaal Bhairav Maharaj. Besides, offering Dahi Vada made from Urad also maintains balance and stability in life.
Urad Khichdi- You can also offer Khichdi made from black urad dal to God on the day of Kaal Bhairav Jayanti. By offering this offering, desires are fulfilled and by the grace of God, bad things are accomplished.
