In the Assembly elections 2020, these four seats were dominated by RJD, Congress, and CPI (ML), which has been broken by the BJP-JDU alliance in 2025. Buxar and Rajpur seats went from Congress to BJP and JDU. At the same time, the Dumraon seat went out of the hands of CPI(M) and went to JDU, which is a big blow for the left parties.

RJD’s Shambhu Nath Yadav was successful in saving his seat.

Although RJD’s Shambhu Nath Yadav managed to save his seat in Brahmapur seat, but his victory margin (2,392 votes) has reduced significantly compared to 2020 (51,141 votes). The BJP-JDU alliance has significantly strengthened its position by directly snatching three seats which were held by the Congress and the Left last time.
