Eden Gardens pitch defended
The way the Eden Gardens pitch looked in the first Test between India vs South Africa is being criticized. However, coach Gautam Gambhir defended the pitch and said that it was a test of the batsman’s temperament. He said that there was a need to play cautiously here, to play by waiting and not attacking. Gambhir also gave the examples of Temba Bavuma and Washington Sundar.
