A grand flag hoisting program will be organized on the main peak of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi temple in Ayodhya on 25th November. Champat Rai, General Secretary of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust, said that this flag hoisting means that the construction work of the temple has been completed.
According to Champat Rai, the height of the main peak of the sanctum sanctorum of the temple is 160 feet. The flag will be hoisted at a height of approximately 191 feet from the ground, including the high flagpole installed above it. He said that the flagpole has already been installed and the flag will be hoisted by hand.
Nature and spiritual significance of the flag
The general secretary of the trust said that the flag will be saffron in color with the sun symbol inscribed on it. ‘Om’ will be written in the center of the sun, which is the first pronunciation of God. Along with this, there will also be a picture of the Kovidar tree on the flag, which is mentioned in Valmiki Ramayana and is considered the symbol of the dynasty of Ayodhya.
Champat Rai said that the flag reflects the concept of Ramrajya and the saffron color is a symbol of sacrifice and religious devotion. Describing the flag hoisting as a symbol of the nation’s sovereign power, he described it as a very important religious and cultural moment.
Invitation sent to 6000 people
A total of 6000 people have been invited to the program.
