Rajasthan government has issued notification for panchayat reorganization and formation of new panchayats in all the districts of the state. The government has created 3416 new Gram Panchayats in 41 districts of the state, due to which the map of Panchayati Raj has changed. From political point of view, the number of Sarpanch, Deputy Sarpanch and Ward Panch will also increase.
Relaxation in parameters
The criteria for desert districts have been relaxed, due to which more new Panchayats have been formed. The present government had started the work of reorganization of Panchayats a year ago. Proposals for reorganization of Panchayats were sought from all the districts of the state. After this, new Panchayats and Panchayats have been reorganized on the basis of proposals received by the Panchayati Raj and Rural Development Department.
People living in remote areas will benefit
The general public will benefit from the creation of new Panchayats. Especially people living in remote areas and desert areas had to travel several kilometers to reach the Gram Panchayats. Now with the formation of new Panchayats, this distance will also be reduced and facilities will be available easily.
Employment opportunities will also increase with the creation of new panchayats. In the recruitments coming out in the coming days, the posts for appointment will also be increased according to these Panchayats.
Status of new Panchayats in major districts
Barmer: 12 Panchayat Samitis and 270 new Gram Panchayats were formed in partial Baytu area.
Jodhpur: With the addition of 241 new gram panchayats in the district, the total number of panchayats has now increased to 527.
Dausa: 85 new gram panchayats have been formed in the district.
Ajmer: After reorganization, 84 new panchayats have come into existence.
Jaisalmer: According to the notification, 51 new gram panchayats have been formed here.
Udaipur: After reorganization, the total number of gram panchayats has increased to 349.
