These issues will be discussed after meeting PM Modi

Putin’s strict warning to European countries

Vladimir Putin also gave a strict warning to European countries in his address. He said, “Some countries are using their monopoly to put pressure on others, due to which the world is going through a period of great turmoil. If Europe wants to fight a war, we are now ready. European countries are promoting war, they have no plans for peace now.” Putin said that European countries have pulled themselves out of peace talks on Ukraine because they have broken contacts with Russia. He said that European countries are in favor of war.

‘Ukraine’s access to the sea will be cut off’

Two Russian oil ships were attacked by an underwater drone (Sea Baby) in the Black Sea on Saturday (29 November 2025). Ukraine took responsibility for this attack. Both ships are considered part of Russia’s shadow fleet. Regarding this also, Putin has warned Ukraine that its access to the sea will be destroyed. He said, “If Ukraine is isolated from the sea then piracy will become impossible.” Putin said Russia would intensify attacks on Ukrainian ships and take action against tankers from countries that help Ukraine.

New plan will be made on trade and energy relations

Russia on Tuesday suggested creating a special framework to protect its trade and energy ties with India from pressure from third countries, saying Western sanctions could reduce India’s imports of Russian crude for a limited period. Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said that the summit between Putin and Prime Minister Narendra Modi will mainly include India’s concerns over the huge trade deficit, cooperation in small-sized nuclear reactors and issues of defense and energy partnership.

Chances of big deal in defense sector

India’s imports from Russia are about 65 billion dollars, whereas Russia’s imports from India are only about 5 billion dollars. In the field of defense cooperation, Peskov presented the joint production of BrahMos missiles as an example and said that this is a model of sharing advanced technology. Peskov said, “Russia is ready to share complex defense systems and technical experience with India.” He said that the possible supply of Sukhoi-57 fighter planes and additional consignment of air defense system S-400 can also be discussed between the two countries.
