Russian President Vladimir Putin is coming on a two-day visit to India on Thursday (December 4, 2025). This is Putin’s visit to India after four years. His visit is being considered very special for India because many important agreements are to be signed in it regarding trade, defense and energy. The whole world talks about the friendship between Vladimir Putin and Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The warmth with which the two leaders met at the SCO summit held in China in August had increased the uneasiness of many countries. Now again when the two leaders are going to meet, the eyes of many countries are fixed on this meeting.
America, China, Pakistan and Ukraine are especially keeping an eye on Putin’s visit. Just a few days before Putin’s visit, there was big news about India’s economy. India’s GDP has grown with a growth rate of 8.2 percent from July to September. At present, India is the fourth largest economy in the world with a GDP of $4.3 trillion, while Russia is at ninth position. Russia’s GDP is 2.54 trillion dollars.
Now if we compare Russian currency and Indian rupee, there is a very slight difference in it. According to Xe Converter, the value of one Russian ruble is equal to Rs 1.16 in India, that is, the difference between the two is only 16 paise. The price of Russian ruble is 16 paise more than the Indian rupee. One Indian rupee is equal to 0.85 Russian rubles there. If compared with the dollar, the value of one dollar is equal to 77.20 Russian rubles, while one dollar is equal to 90 rupees in India.
Vladimir Putin last visited India in the year 2021. He came here for the India-Russia Annual Summit. However, Putin and PM Modi met in the Chinese city of Tianjin in August this year. The SCO summit was held in China between August 31 and September 1, in which the friendship between Putin, PM Modi and Chinese President Xi Jinping was much discussed. All three were seen laughing, joking and hugging together.
