In view of this important achievement, the Rekha Gupta government of Delhi has taken an important decision. Delhi Government’s Art-Culture-Language and Tourism Minister Kapil Mishra said that Diwali is not just a festival of lights but also a symbol of India’s thousands of years old cultural and spiritual tradition.

He said that this festival involves the victory of light over darkness, victory of good over evil and wishes for prosperity. Kapil Mishra told that UNESCO has announced to include Diwali in the intangible cultural heritage list. In such a situation, today i.e. 10th December, celebrations will be held on a large scale in the entire city.

Delhi government has also made special preparations for this, under which Diwali festival will be celebrated at the Red Fort. Also, big lamps will be lit. A grand cultural event will be organized in Dilli Haat, in which CM Rekha Gupta and the entire cabinet will be present.

Besides, major squares and intersections of the capital will be decorated and illuminated. Apart from this, special lighting will be done on all government buildings. Kapil Mishra said that Diwali is a symbol of unity, faith and prosperity of our country. This decision not only gives respect to the culture of India, but also tells the world how deep and unique Indian traditions are.

The Delhi government has appealed to all citizens to participate in the celebration of this historic occasion with brotherhood and harmony. Delhi government believes that this achievement will make the coming generations feel more proud of Indian culture.
