BSSC released the result of Reserve Clerk of Home Department, 297 candidates successful for the next stage; Know the further process

Bihar Staff Selection Commission (BSSC) has released the result of the recruitment examination conducted for ex-servicemen under the Reserve Branch of the Home Department. This examination was held on 26 June 2025, which was conducted by the Staff Selection Commission in the Directorate of Sainik Welfare and District Sainik Welfare Offices. Clerk (lower class clerk) and welfare administrator are to be recruited on these posts. Candidates can now check the results released on Wednesday by visiting the official website of the Commission, bssc.bihar.gov.in.

A total of 567 candidates took part in this examination. The Commission said that 297 candidates have been declared successful on the basis of minimum marks. All of them will now be called for practical test i.e. typing test. This typing test is considered very important in the process of appointment, because for the post of lower division clerk, knowledge of computer operation, Hindi and English typing is mandatory.

According to the issued notice, candidates will have to type in the typing test in both Hindi and English languages ​​at the prescribed speed. Candidates will have to type 250 words in 10 minutes. The minimum typing speed in both Hindi and English has been kept at 25 words per minute. The margin of error in this is very low. To pass, errors made should be less than 1.5 percent. If there are more mistakes than this, the candidates will be declared ineligible and they will not be considered selected for the post of Lower Division Clerk.

When can the typing test be done?

The Commission said that the typing examination is likely to be held in January 2026. Mangal Font will be used for Hindi typing, which will have Remington Gail keyboard layout. UTF-8 English (US) Keyboard Layout will be applicable for English typing. The Commission will soon publish detailed instructions related to the typing test on its website, so that the candidates can prepare properly and appear in the examination on time.

This is how the final selection will happen

The final selection of the candidates will be done after these two typing tests. The final result will be released on the basis of merit order, priority of post, reservation category and other rules prescribed in the advertisement.
