Director Neeraj Ghaywan’s film Homebound has been shortlisted for the Best International Feature Film category at the 98th Academy Awards. Ishaan Khattar, Vishal Jethwa and Jhanvi Kapoor are in lead roles in this film. Filmmaker Karan Johar is very happy and emotional after this news.
The Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Sciences on Tuesday announced shortlists in 12 categories. 15 films have been shortlisted in the International Feature Film category, which will be reduced to five in the final nominations.

Apart from Homebound, this category includes Argentina’s Belén, Brazil’s The Secret Agent, France’s It Was Just an Accident, Germany’s Sound of Falling, Iraq’s The President’s Cake, Japan’s Kokuho, Jordan’s All That’s Left of You, Norway’s Sentimental Value, Palestine’s Palestine 36, South Korea’s Nine Other Choices, Spain’s Sirât, Switzerland’s Late Shift, Taiwan’s Left Handed Girl and Tunisia’s The Voice of Hind Rajab are included.
There will be final nominations in the shortlist category in the coming time. Final nominations will be announced on 22 January 2026. Comedian Conan O’Brien will host the Oscars 2026. Let us tell you that the Oscar Award is going to be held on March 15.
