Shilpa Shetty-Raj Kundra’s troubles increase again in Rs 60 crore fraud case, section 420 of IPC added

The troubles of Bollywood couple Shilpa Shetty and Raj Kundra are not showing any signs of ending. After getting out of one case, this couple gets into another problem. In the case of alleged fraud of Rs 60 crore, the Economic Offenses Wing (EOW) has expanded the scope of investigation and added section 420 (fraud) of the Indian Penal Code against actress Shilpa Shetty and her husband Raj Kundra.

Investigation will continue

This action has been taken on the basis of facts revealed during the ongoing investigation. The investigation into the allegations in the case is ongoing, and further legal proceedings will continue. Let us tell you that this FIR was registered on the complaint of businessman Deepak Kothari. A statement issued by the complainant’s lawyers said that based on the facts revealed during the investigation, the EOW has added stringent sections of the IPC and informed the concerned magistrate about this development.

Also the EOW informed the court that statements of credible witnesses and electronic evidence have been collected during the investigation. 

 The materials on record indicate that the complainant in this case was allegedly made the victim of a fraud of more than Rs 60 crore. On the basis of the evidence given, the section of fraud has been included in the investigating agency. According to the information received, the main complainant in this case may soon contact the Central Investigation Agency ED keeping in mind the amount of fraud.

Permission was sought to go to London

Let us tell you that in the recent hearing, Raj Kundra and Shilpa Shetty had sought permission from the court to go to London. He had said that Raj Kundra’s father’s health is very bad. In such a situation, the court clearly refused to give permission. The court gave clear instructions – permission to travel abroad will be given only when the petitioner deposits the entire Rs 60 crore in the court.
