If you look at the lives of secret agents seen in films and wonder how much salary they get in real life, then this news may surprise you. Recently, Lucky Beast, who claims to be an Indian former spy and sniper, has revealed this secret in a podcast. He told that the job of a secret agent is as exciting as it is full of responsibility and risk.
According to Lucky Beast, a secret agent gets a monthly salary of around Rs 1 to 1.25 lakh. This amount may sound like a big corporate package, but the challenges of this job are equally big. Agents have to complete missions at all times risking the country’s security, intelligence information and life. Apart from this, they receive rigorous training, have to work by hiding their identity, there is tension all the time, they have to stay away from their families and life always remains uncertain.
Allowances are more important than salary
The income of a secret agent is not limited to just salary. Lucky Beast told that the real benefit comes from the allowance he gets. Different types of allowances are given according to the location, risk and responsibility of the mission. If an agent is posted in a sensitive area, he gets additional allowance.
Operation fund is separate
Lucky Beast also told in the podcast that the operation fund received by a secret agent is different from salary or allowance. This fund is used for mission related expenses. Like getting information from someone, travelling, buying essential goods or spending in emergency. This fund is not the personal earning of the agent, but is considered very important for the mission.
Life is completely different from ordinary life
As attractive as the life of a secret agent looks from the outside, it is equally difficult from the inside. They have to hide their identity. Many times even the family does not know what work they actually do. It is not easy to work under constant pressure, fear and uncertainty.
Not everyone can become a secret agent
This job is not for everyone. This requires a strong mind, physical fitness and the passion to do anything for the country. Many people drop out during training itself, because the mental and physical pressure is very high.
