In the last 5 days, it has declined by 3 to 4 percent. Its YTD returns have been -3.39% since the beginning of the year. Last year, this index touched a 52 -week high 3,674.40, but now it has fallen to 2,689.70.
Pakistani market declines
After the implementation of American tariff on China and 29% recipe on Pakistan, the Pakistani market declined so much that trading had to be stopped on Monday. On Wednesday too, Kec-100 fell to 112,891.48 with a decline of 2,640.95 points or 2.29%. On Friday, PSK also saw restlessness. The Pakistani market was 424.21 points to 115,765.
According to a report by the policy think tank, if the US imposes 29% tariffs on Pakistan’s goods, Pakistan’s export (export) could suffer a loss of about $ 564 million in FY 2025-26. The report also warned that in the worst situation this loss can increase to $ 2.2 billion.
President Xi Jinping said- ‘China is not afraid of anyone’
Earlier, Chinese President Xi Jinping had said that there is no winner in the tariff war. He said that China has never depended on anyone and was not scared of anyone. According to the news agency Xinhua, the Chinese President said that in the last 70 years, the country achieved development through self -reliance and difficult struggle. He said that China has never depended on the mercy of others and was not scared of any unfair repression. President Jinping said that no matter what changes in the outside world, China will be full of expectations and will focus on running its affairs well.
