Big news has come for the students dreaming of studying post graduate medical in Uttar Pradesh. Director General, Medical Education and Training i.e. DGME Uttar Pradesh has released the complete schedule of the third round of UP NEET PG 2025 counselling. Through this counselling, admission will be given to the seats of MD, MS, DNB and Diploma courses in government and private medical colleges of the state. This is considered an important opportunity for the candidates who have been waiting for Round 3 for a long time.
According to the official information released by DGME, the online registration process for UP NEET PG 2025 Round 3 will start on January 2 at 11 am. Candidates who have been successful in NEET PG 2025 examination can apply for Round 3 counseling within the stipulated time. The last date for registration has been fixed on January 5 at 2 pm. In such a situation, candidates have been advised not to wait for the last moment and complete the application process on time.
As part of the counseling process, along with registration, it will also be necessary to deposit fees and security money. This process will start from January 2 and will continue till 5 pm on January 9. Candidates who have not deposited the registration and security money on time will not be able to participate in the further process. Therefore, it is very important to complete each step carefully.
Merit list will be released
After registration, the merit list of the candidates will be released. This merit list is likely to be published on 5 January 2026. Further choice filling and seat allotment process will be completed on the basis of merit list only. After the release of the merit list, candidates will be able to get information about their rank and eligibility.
The process of choice filling and locking in Round 3 counseling will start on January 6 at 11 am. Candidates will be able to fill the colleges and courses of their choice till 2 pm on 9th January. During this, candidates are advised to fill their options thoughtfully and as per their rank. Once the choice is locked, there will be no chance to change it.

The facility of choice filling will be made available on the official website of UP NEET PG upneet.in and DGME website dgme.up.gov.in. Only those candidates will be able to do choice filling, who have completed the registration and deposited the security money. If a candidate does not lock the choice within the stipulated time, the system may automatically lock his/her last saved choice.
Take special care of these dates
After completion of choice filling and locking process, the result of seat allotment will be released on 12 January 2026. Through this result, candidates will get information about which college and which course they have got a seat. Seat allotment result will be released online, which candidates will be able to check through their login ID.
After getting the seat, candidates will have to download the allotment letter. After this, between January 13 and January 17, 2026, you will have to go to the concerned medical college and complete the admission process. During this time the necessary documents will be scrutinized and the fees fixed by the college will have to be deposited. If the candidate does not report within the stipulated time, his/her seat may be cancelled.
