‘Dhurandhar’ has not only proved to be the biggest hit of Ranveer Singh’s career, but has also brought his career back on track after some ups and downs. Ranveer Singh joins Rs 4000 crore club Involved
‘Dhurandhar’ was Ranveer Singh’s 17th film as a lead actor and also his first film to earn more than Rs 1000 crore worldwide. With this film, the total box office collection of all his films has reached Rs 4200 crore (and rising). With this, Ranveer has become the sixth Bollywood star after the three Khans, Akshay Kumar and Ranbir Kapoor to earn Rs 4000 crore at the box office. Interestingly, Ranveer’s box office collection of Rs 4200 crore is more than that of veteran actors like Ajay Devgan and Hrithik Roshan, who have earned more than Rs 3500 crore.
9 out of 17 films of Ranveer made 100 crores
It is noteworthy that Ranveer has been more bankable than most of the actors of his time. Of his 17 films, nine have crossed the Rs 100 crore mark at the domestic box office and 11 have achieved success at the box office. These include blockbusters like Dhurandhar, Padmaavat and Bajirao Mastani, as well as sleeper hits like Dil Dhadakne Do and Ladies vs Ricky Bahl.
Ranveer went ahead of Ranbir and Hrithik
Ranveer and Ranbir have often been compared to each other, and have even been seen as competitors in terms of their star power and popularity at the box office. With Dhurandhar, at least in terms of box office collections, Ranveer has gone ahead. His collection of Rs 4200 crore is now more than Ranbir’s figure of Rs 4000 crore which he achieved with the success of Animal.
However, now Ranbir has a good chance to leave Ranveer Singh behind again with two big films Love and War and Ramayan. But Ranveer also hopes that Dhurandhar 2 will keep him in the race. Amidst all this, Hrithik Roshan, whose total earnings are Rs 3860 crore, is lagging behind both his junior actors.
