Surat Crime Branch arrested him from Lalgate area of ​​Surat under a secret operation. This arrest took place without even a single bullet being fired, which has also given relief to the police officers.

His special identity was to commit crimes in different guises. Sometimes he would become a fake CBI officer, and sometimes he would cheat and loot people in the guise of a sadhu or a stepwell man.

Mastermind of ‘Irani Dera’ gang

According to the police, Rehman is the main mastermind of the infamous dacoit gang named ‘Irani Dera’. This gang operated from Bhopal and carried out serious crimes like robbery, fraud and arson. In many cases, strict laws like MCOCA have also been imposed on the accused.

Dacoit Rahman lived a luxurious life with the money received from the robbery. He was fond of expensive cars, sports bikes and even Arabian horses. Police say that he was living a luxurious life with the earnings of crime and that is why he remained out of the circle of suspicion for a long time.

According to the information, dacoit Rehman had come to Surat to search for his new victim. During this time, the crime branch got concrete input about him. After this the team laid a trap and caught him. In this case, DCP Bhavesh Rozia of Surat Crime Branch said that after the arrest of the accused, layers of many old cases have started being revealed. He was living in Aman Nagar area of ​​Bhopal for the last 13-14 years and was infamous by the name of ‘Rehman Dacoit’.
