A case of murder of another Hindu person from Bangladesh has come to light. After crushing a person with a car here, the murder of a banana businessman has created a sensation. A Hindu businessman was beaten to death by three people after a dispute over bananas in Ghazipur. This information has been given by the local media. According to reports, the accused are members of the same family. It has not yet been confirmed whether the incident that took place on Saturday in Kaliganj area of Ghazipur district is related to the recent incidents of violence against Hindus in Bangladesh or not.
‘The victim was the owner of the hotel’
According to the news of The Daily Star, ‘The victim has been identified as Liton Chandra Ghosh (55), who was the owner of Baisakhi Sweetmeat and Hotel.’
The accused were detained
According to Zakir Hussain, officer in-charge of Kaliganj police station, ‘Three members of a family, Swapan Mian (55), his wife Majeda Khatoon (45) and their son Masoom Mian (28) have been detained on charges of involvement in the murder.’
There was a dispute over banana bunch
Police told that the innocent man is the owner of a banana plantation and a bunch of bananas had gone missing from it. Police said that during the search, they saw bananas in Litton’s hotel and an argument started between the two parties regarding this matter. Police said, ‘The accused punched and kicked Liton, due to which he fell on the ground and died on the spot.’
What did the family members tell?
Liton’s family told that the innocent boy had come to the hotel around 11 o’clock and at that time he had a fight with a hotel employee over a trivial matter. The family told that later the parents of the innocent child also came there and joined the fight. According to the news, the police is investigating the incident.
