Protests are increasing across the country regarding the new rules of UGC. A round of reactions and protests is going on from various leaders regarding this. Meanwhile, former WFI Chief and former BJP MP Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh has expressed his protest. He said that with folded hands he requests you to withdraw this law.
Former WFI Chief and former BJP MP Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh made his statement opposing UGC viral on social media. Brijbhushan Sharan Singh said that the UGC law is working to divide the society.
‘Society does not run sitting in office’
He said that the society does not function while sitting in the office. If you want to run the society then come to the village. Society does not run by paper laws. He further said that come to the village and see that children play together without any discrimination or caste color. No child asks about anyone’s caste.
What did Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh say against the UGC law?
Brib Bhushan Sharan Singh asked whether the law was made for women? Are women not getting worried? He further said that the SC/ST law that was made is not being misused?
He further said that if any mistake is made then it should be punished. But there should be no discrimination in the society. This law should be withdrawn immediately, otherwise there will be a movement and children from all societies will participate in it.
Protest started in UP regarding UGC
Protests intensified in Uttar Pradesh on Wednesday (January 28) against the new rules of the University Grants Commission (UGC). While large-scale protests took place in Deoria and Kaushambi, in Rae Bareli a Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) official resigned from his post.
Officials said that in Deoria, a large number of people gathered on the road near the court shouting anti-government slogans and staged a dharna on Wednesday in protest against the University Grants Commission (For Promotion of Equity in Higher Education Institutions) Regulations, 2026.
