This decision has been taken after the controversy regarding Shankaracharya Avimukteshwarananda running in Kin Akhara. Mamta Kulkarni no longer has any connection with the Akhara
After being out of the Akhara, Mamta Kulkarni now has no official connection with the Akhara. He is neither an officer nor a member. After being out of the arena, Mamta Kulkarni wrote on her social media account Instagram that-
I Mamta Mridul Kalyani am in perfect mental state, I am resigning from the post of Maha Mandaleshwar of Kinnar Akhara till 27 January 2026. No complaints with Dr. Acharya Lakshmi Narayan Tripathi, full love to respect. The only thing is that my spiritual knowledge will not flow like Krishna idol. Truth does not need clothes or symbols. My guru Shri Chetanya Gagangiri Nath did not accept any post. I have lived a theistic life for 25 years, being an introvert and continuing my practice as before, I will continue to do so now, whenever and wherever there is a need, irrespective of any party or any specific group or like-minded people, I will share my knowledge.
What did Mamta say?
Mamta Kulkarni raised many questions on the role and conduct of Shankaracharya Avimukteshwaranand on 25 January 2026. Mamta had also raised questions on the appointment process and the need to take bath in the palanquin, after which it was decided to expel Mamta from the Akhara. He had asked questions to Shankaracharya Avimukteshwaranand that who appointed him as Shankaracharya and what was the need to carry a palanquin in a crowd of crores.
Mahamandaleshwar was built in Mahakumbh 2025
