Former Indian hockey coach Michael Nobbs passed away. He said goodbye to the world at the age of 72. Let us tell you that Nobbs, who coached India, was an Australian player. He played the role of coach for India in the 2012 London Olympics. Michael Nobbs was a reliable defender. He was a part of the Australian men’s hockey team at a time when the Kangaroos were considered one of the strongest countries in hockey.
Let us tell you that Nobbs played for Australia from 1979 to 1985 in his international career. During this period he played 76 matches. During his career, he represented Australia in the 1981 Hockey World Cup held in Bombay. Apart from this, he was also a part of the Kangaroo team in the 1984 Los Angeles Olympics.

International Hockey Federation also reacted
“Deeply saddened to hear the news of the passing of Michael Nobbs, former Olympian and coach of the Australian Hockey National Team. After an illustrious playing career, including a bronze medal at the 1981 FIH Hockey World Cup, Michael Nobbs began a successful coaching career in Australia and at the international level, as well as in Japan and other countries,” FIH President Tayeb Ikram was quoted as saying in a post on behalf of the International Hockey Federation.
